Billbergia Hybrid

Since we are getting into the taller plants, here is one that is not only taller, but it has a hint of red in it as well as a hint of tiger stripes. That is a Billbergia Hybrid.

An Even Taller Tiger

Here’s an even taller tiger striped SPOTH. It’s an Aechmea ‘Chantinii DeLeon’ Black bromeliad. I bet you can’t say that three times fast without spitting up. I don’t see anything about tigers or zebras in its name, though. Dude. That’s … Continue reading

Neoregelia Little Tiger Yellow

I found a SPOTH that looks a lot like the previous one, but it’s a bit taller. This is a Neoregelia Little Tiger Yellow. Where I saw a zebra, somebody else saw a tiger. I wonder what the big tiger … Continue reading

Tradescantia (Cyanotis) somaliensis (Pussy Ears)

Wow. That’s a mouthful, even for a SPOTH. I guess they get the name from the tiny little flower. It has a spectacular blue color. Unlike our usual Man-Eating entries, this one looks kind of cuddly and huggable. https://worldofsucculents.com/cyanotis-somaliensis-pussy-ears/
