Today I finished sizing and scraping the boards that I cut last time. I did not take many pictures because you have seen it all before, and I don't want to bore you with a bunch of repetitive crap. Planing; scraping; measuring. Here is a photo after three of the boards had been done.

I discovered that I could make better progress planing the boards thin by skewing the plane, like this:
I Can Control the Cut Better Like This
That is quite a steep angle on the plane. Most of the sole does not actually touch the surface of the wood. That may cause issues with getting the board flat, but the wood is so thin I don't think that is an issue. It cuts faster and easier, so that is how I used it. After a few hours, they were done.
All Four Boards Have Been Sized
My target thickness was about 1/16" for ease of bending on the iron. This looks pretty close.
That is Maybe 1/64" Too Thick
The tiny bit of excess thickness should not get in the way of bending. We shall see.
