Motif Number One is in Rockport Massachusetts. It was called Motif #1 by the artists who painted it over the years. It is claimed that this little fishing shack is the most painted subject in the U.S.A., hence the name.
The original shack was destroyed in the Blizzard of 1978, but the town of Rockport rebuilt it since it was such an important landmark.
